Club Programs

There are three age categories for training(all have indoor, outdoor, and cross country seasons):

 

 

Minor athlete are the younger members of the Minor Track and Field Association (MTFA), aged 14 and under

 

Bantam/Midget/Youth/Junior/Senior athletes are members of the Ontario Track and Field Association (OTFA) and range between 13 and 20.  These qualify for the national team.

 

Masters are the older athletes who can still qualify for the national teams. These are members of the OTFA or the Master organization.

Competition Levels

Athlete choose how much they compete, with coaches reserving the right of entry
  • MTFA (minor) competitions for 14 and under as indoor, outdoor and cross-country
  • Athletics Ontario (formerly OTFA)/Canadian meets are for club athletes. Athletes must belong to a club and OFTA to be eligible to compete nationally and internationally

  • Legion meets offer a program where the best local athletes go to a provincial championship and then a national meet, funded by the Legion
